People use speed dating for a variety of reasons, whether it is to make new friends or find people you have things in common with, possible romance, or a night of passion you are after, the decision to go on a speed dating event can bring all kinds of new experiences.
Unless you have been on a speed date before you might be thinking it's impossible to know if you like someone with only 3 minutes to talk, and it's a good point to make. 3 minutes goes by very fast so it's advised you have set questions ready in preparation so no time is wasted by awkward silences as you rack your brain trying to think of what to ask.
Ask thousands of people worldwide and they'll tell you that speed dating can, and does, work. There are hundreds of stories about how they met their true love, made loads of new friends, and found themselves at the centre of a social group that transformed their life. Even if you don't meet someone special think of all the fun and great nights out you will have – if you're not speed dating then what are you doing? The alternatives are watching TV alone, cleaning the house and taking the dog for a walk!
The advantages of choosing speed dating over other types of dates is that it is all organized for you, all you have to do is pay the registration fee or booking fee for the particular event you want to attend and turn up on the night. Also it's safe if you are a woman on her own and, unlike meeting a date by yourself, you are in a safe environment where you can be at ease. Although everyone might be a stranger the events are watched over by the organisers and you never have to be alone during the evening.
Generally we notice people who we find physically attractive, this can be difficult if you go on a blind date or contact someone via the personal columns in the newspapers or online as you haven't seen what that person looks like until you go on the actual date! Speed dating in Nottingham gives you the chance to meet lots of potential dates and you know within the first few minutes whether you like the look of someone or not, so 3 minutes is sufficient time! If you have a busy lifestyle then there is no time wasted on evenings spent with someone you have just met but realized within the first 10 minutes was going nowhere, or making small talk with someone you are not attracted to in the least.
A speed dating evening is a little like an interview, think of it as a way to weed out anyone you dislike or have no connection with. This leaves you with a few possibilities and you can then take it from there. As the time you have together is so short then it's best to come prepared, this means have selected questions ready to ask. They don't have to be too formal or personal either, make them lighthearted but if you really want to know if the person opposite just wants sex or is interested in a lasting relationship then ask away! People at these events are much more direct than general, remember though that they will have questions to ask you too so consider what these may be and have your answers ready.
Speed dating events can be organized in various locations and mostly they are private, the last thing you want is to be overlooked by a busy bar where anyone can watch as you move from table to table and ‘interview' your partner, that's really going to put you off. You don't want people gawking so check the event before you book.
After each introduction, members mark on their scorecard whether or not they would be keen to have a real date with the other person. How the game ends depends on how the event has been organized, typically the organizers check the scorecards and match up which partners are commonly attracted to each other. Some organizers only give the women the men's phone number whilst others give either sex the interested party's number to be followed up on for a date.
Generally events are fun and people relax as the evening goes on, once the dating part is over you can spend time in the bar getting to know people better if that's what you wish. If you don't meet anyone you are interested in at your chosen event then there's no need to panic – there are plenty more in your local area. The more speed dating Nottingham events you attend the more confident you will become and confidence leads to attention.

Three Factors That Can End Your Relationship In An Instant
Relationships, some people take this for granted, while others make it their whole existence. Some people are lucky enough to have it for a lifetime, while some consider it as an unending quest. Some find it hard, while others find it a breeze. Everybody has an opinion about what it’s like being in a love affair, but one thing is certain, when we are serious about it, we would do anything to make it right. And if we want to make our union last for a life time there are three characteristics we need to get rid of. The three characteristics are impatience, immaturity, and self-centeredness. Once these behaviors are overcome having a successful marriage or romantic relationship can be achieved.
Let us first discussed impatience. Although the discovery of instant foods, instant services, and instant everything has made our lives easier and convenient, it has also developed one destructive behavioral pattern that can make any togetherness miserable and that is instant self-gratification.
“I want it in fifteen minutes, hot and delicious and cheap.” This kind of pampering has totally fed our impatience. It has developed a, “right here, right know” way of thinking. We can’t help ourselves to apply it in our daily living, especially, in our marriage. We can’t help but sometimes treat our own affairs as an instant service instead of a self-service, a fast food instead of a fine dining. We thought that marriage is like a disposable goods instead of a fine china that should be treasured and kept. Remember by heart that good things come to those who practice patience and perseverance. There are some things that we need to work hard on, to put on toil and hard work on, because the reward is beyond our comprehension, and this include our relationship.
The second characteristic that can make any relationship miserable is immaturity, especially emotional immaturity.
Emotional immaturity is the inability of one person in the relationship to sympathize. They take out their issues on their partner and they don’t know how to apologize. When one or both people are emotionally immature, then there is no chance for the relationship to thrive. Romantic togetherness needs understanding, listening, open communication, and respect to thrive, and all these are impossible to do if one is emotionally immature.
The last factor that can end your relationship in an instant is self-centeredness or the “me- first” attitude. This kind of self-centeredness is very different from taking care of yourself for your loved, this is different from loving yourself to be able to love the people who cares for you. You are self-centered when you strongly believe that your needs are more important that anybody else in your family. You believe that if your needs doesn’t come first, then the romantic relationship is not working out. When you are selfish, you are guiltless in manipulating people around you. You don’t see anything wrong in taking advantage of the love and care people who loves you as long as you get your way.
Marriage needs constant care and consideration, it needs selflessness and deep trust. If you see yourself in one or all of these behaviors, don’t worry, you can still make a three hundred sixty degree turn if you are willing to work on it. If you find it hard to make a change, ask the help of your partner, romantic relationship, is after all about making the best out of each other.

Ten Ways To Get A Boyfriend - Simple Tips to Improve Your Odds
Wondering how to get a boyfriend? Feeling like the only single girl around while all your friends meet great guys? Wondering what the best way to land a guy is? If you answered yes to any of these questions, read on for 10 ways to get a boyfriend, and get ready for a new, more complete you.
- Hit the gym! The simple truth is that guys are visual creatures. We notice when you look good. And pretty much everybody looks a little bit better when they're in a little bit better shape. So get some more exercise. It'll help you feel better about yourself, which will make you a lot sexier!
- Dress the part. Guys may not know that they notice you because of that amazing pair of jeans, but they will notice you. Of all the ways to get a boyfriend, this is probably the easiest. Dress to kill!
- Love who you are. The more you love your life, the brighter you will shine and the more guys you'll draw to you. Everybody wants to be around people who are happy, fun, and full of positive energy. Figure out what you love to do and do it so you make yourself happy.
- Talk to guys. It's easy to be uncomfortable when talking to a guy you like. Everybody has this problem until they get over it. But the way you get over it - and therefore one of the top ten ways to get a boyfriend - is to talk to guys whenever you have the opportunity. Once talking to guys is second nature, you won't clam up when you're talking to a guy you like.
- Do stuff. You're not going to get a great boyfriend staying at home. Join a club. Participate in events at your school. The more do you, the more guys you'll meet, and the sooner you'll find a boyfriend.
- Own it! Nothing is sexier than a girl who knows what she's got. Put a little extra swagger in your step, stand up a little taller, and walk into each room like you own it. This way to get a boyfriend has an added bonus - it's fun!
- Flirt. Learning how to flirt deserves its own article, because mastering this way of getting a boyfriend will put one of the most powerful tools around into your hands. Learn how eye contact, a slight innuendo, or the perfect thing left unsaid can make a guy's stomach do flip-flops. (Yes, it happens to guys, too!)
- Tantalize. You tantalize a guy by giving him just a tiny bit of what he wants, and suggesting that there's more. Maybe it's a kiss or a touch or a laugh. You give him just a bit, get him to like it, and then pull back. Now he's got to chase if he wants more, and you've got him right where you want him.
- Touch him. A lingering touch on the arm, brushing against him in a hallway. These send powerful messages. Give them a try!
Healthy Relationship Tips - Keeping Love Alive, Every Day
Are you always looking for healthy relationship tips? Do you sometimes wonder whether you're doing all you can to make the most of your relationship? Do you need help making love last? Most of us need some advice from time to time, and sometimes healthy relationship tips can come from unexpected places. Often, though, the answer is where you least expect it to be - inside yourself.
Start With a Smile
Have you ever noticed that a yawn is contagious? What about a smile? A smile that starts from the eyes and involves all the muscles of your face - in other words, a real smile, is contagious - just like a yawn is. People who see genuine smiles on the faces of others feel like smiling themselves.
One of the best healthy relationship tips is this: Smile at your partner as often as possible. Look in his or her eyes, think about how wonderful he or she makes you feel, and smile slowly. The response will be instantaneous, and negativity will melt away.
Listening
When is the last time you really stopped to listen to what your partner had to say? Actively listening to the person you care about most means participating in a conversation together. Listen to what he or she is telling you, and don't feel like you've got to offer advice. If you understand, say so. If you agree or disagree, talk about why you feel that way. Really listening is one of the best ways to show your partner that you value his or her feelings, and it's a great way to improve a relationship.
The Gift of Friendship
If you are not good friends with your partner, ask yourself why. The point of an intimate relationship should be to form a lasting friendship, and to create an unbreakable bond that can withstand anything. Healthy relationships are based on mutual trust and understanding. If you want to love each other, you've got to like each other, and that means being friends.
Everyone Needs Space
You, and your partner, need the space to be yourselves as individuals. Healthy relationship tips always tell us how to be together - but, how can we be apart? Take some time for yourself each day, and be sure to work on aspects of yourself that need improvement. Find a way to share what you've learned. By respecting boundaries and personal space, you respect each other as individuals. Healthy relationship tips tell us that respect is one of the finest aspects of love - so be sure to nurture it.
Togetherness
Last, but certainly not least, find time to spend with your partner each day. Even if you're apart, make time to talk on the phone or chat online together. While you and your partner do need space and time to work on self improvement, you should never feel like you're all alone within your relationship. Healthy relationship tips have proven time and again that spending quality time together strengthens bonds and helps us make it through tough times. So enjoy little moments together, and find new ways to appreciate the love you share.

Recognizing True Friendship
Presented here are eight key elements that characterize true friendship between friends. True friendship is not confined to building rapport between one person and another. We may see this one on one friendship displayed between school class mates. Year after year as the scholastic time in a person's life proceeds along its way. The bonding between friends outlasts the rigors of homework, detention, or puberty blues.
Sometimes the rapport may be between groups of people. True friendship is displayed in the bonding of members of sports teams. United by a common goal and faith in the bonds of friendship. A team steps out on the sports arena. To face together what ever comes from the opposition. Is there anything more passionate than an avid football fan for their team.
Other relationships that are characterized by true friendship is that between a person and their pet. After all, man's best friend, it is said, is a dog. For centuries animals have provided the acknowledgement of self that we all require.
Acceptance
To accept a person for who they are. Each of us is a unique individual with personal preferences. The life choices that a friend may make may not be the same as the life choices that you would make yourself. Diversity is what makes the world an interesting place.
Willingness
A willingness to listen to all your friend has to say. There may be time when you are not interested in the topic that your friend wants to discuss at length. True friends willingly listen to all each other have to say. Agreement of opinion is not necessary but respect that the other person is entitled to their opinion.
Trust
The ability to be relied upon in all circumstances. An act of betrayal can kill trust stone dead. Once trust has been shown to not be what it was perceived to be. It is extremely hard to restore consistent belief in that concept again. A true friend does not break trust.
Loyalty
Being loyal means you do not say nasty words about your friend. If others would spread rumours you do not engage in such speculation. If there is an opportunity to speak well of your friend then you do so.
Tolerance
Even though you may not like some of the choices that your friend makes. You do not allow that to obscure the friendship. Friendship has a higher value than individual choices.
Time
True friendship stands the test of time. We all have 20/20 hindsight. Looking back it is easy to see who our true friends have been and still are.
Trouble
In times of trouble you can count on a true friend to protect your back without having to be asked. They will be standing right beside you for support even if it is on the other end of a phone call.
Caring
A true friend cares whether you are happy or sad. A true friend will give you assistance to throw off the blues. Bring you chocolates, have a coffee with you or maybe some retail therapy. Go fishing, or get a massage together. Any activity that turns that frown upside down into a sunny smile.

Friends - Here Today and Gone Tomorrow
I was riding in public bus this morning and I began to reflect back to what one of my close friends asked me a few years ago when we were at a convention.
We were taking a lunch break in between some seriously dynamic speakers and I made a comment that; even though my first business venture did not go as planned that I was going to come back in a serious way and the world would be force to watch me do my thing in a global successful sense.
One of my best friends, at the time, turned and looked at me and said, "Well don't forget about me baby when you conquer the world" to which I replied, "you know I got you covered and you will be right there with me bro".
Fast forward 6-7 years and you will find him and me no longer even talking to one another let alone being the best of friends. I often ask myself what did I do wrong or what could I have done differently, but I kept coming up with the same consistent answer...nothing!
My default position was what a famous radio personality said at the close of his show one day," Everybody that comes with you can't go with you..." He went on to explain that because he had increased his own vision for himself, from the days of hanging out on the street corner, that some of those same individuals, who were still on the street corner, had a problem with him when he would come back home to visit his family.
They were actually surprised that he would not take them up on their invitation to hang with them in the same capacity as he did before.
He thought to himself, that there was no way he could just stand there doing nothing for hours on end talking about what could be anymore, knowing that he had already turn his dreams into a reality. He was equally surprised when they looked perplex at his decline to their invitation. This quick excerpt helps me to stay the course and to not grow too weary when I start growing in areas of my life and those around me become uncomfortable with that growth and choose to remove themselves from my life.
I have to keep in mind that everyone around me is not growing at my same rate or they may be choosing to stay right where they are in their development and it is alright for me to go on ahead to meet my goals, dreams, and desires.
I tried to keep this friendship going on several occasions, but when it is truly time for a caterpillar to mature; the cocoon must come off, the new wings must be utilized, and by a new name/design called a butterfly I must become...
I have learned that this shedding of an old friend typically brings about a new friend who is just where you are in your new stage of growth and development, so don't sweat the small stuff even though this parting can be a sad and hurtful affair.
Just know that if you are indeed changing for the better then a good indicator of that is the new growth on your branches of progress.
Some friends are indeed just for a season and some will remain for a lifetime and either way it's all good.

Dating Secrets For Men - How to Get Her Phone Number AND a Date
Okay, you already have a situation where you have met a woman and you have gotten a conversation going with her. There is a little flirting going on back and forth, and you are already sold on the idea that you would like to date her. At this moment, do you really know what to do or say to her to get her phone number and a date?
If not, don't be too alarmed. Getting a woman to give you her phone number is not really that hard and you can make it a lot SIMPLER on yourself.
Here's how to get a phone number AND a date with her:
1. You have to build up to getting the number.
Even if you can get it a little quicker, there are some steps that you do NOT want to skip building up to what you really want. One thing that I recommend is to make it seem like you are not just talking her up with an end goal in mind. You know you have one, she might even know that you have one, but you cannot make it too obvious. Women tend to shut down when they think that a man is just trying to pick her up.
2. You need to make her feel like she can talk to you forever.
I know, that sounds like an impossible thing to do. I mean, that's a lot of pressure, right? Not at all. What you really need to do is to be a good listener. Not in the sappy way of just hearing about her day kind of thing, I mean you need to listen to pick the right moments to change direction and start to guide the conversation where you want it to go.
3. You got to be able to go for the close at the end.
Hey, you cannot make a sale if you do not ask for it, and you also cannot get her number unless you ask as well. What I like to do is to set the conversation up so that she is the one that is kind of suggesting that we should talk more in the future or that we should hang out. Then, it's only natural that she gives you her phone number.
I'll give you a specific example from a recent encounter with a woman.
She was telling me that she was becoming a baseball fan, and I just casually teased her about knowing nothing about baseball, and at the same time setting up an offer to go to a Met game with her. Of course, I did not offer to pay for the ticket, I just met her and I'm not trying to dump gifts on her, just an invite to go with her. She got all psyched about it and of course I got her number. And we did go to the Met game and she was VERY appreciative of this.

Does He Just Want to Sleep With Me? 7 Best Ways to Know His True Intentions Before it Gets Too Far
Are you currently seeing a guy who you slept with during your first date? Usually, having sex on the very first night that you go out, often isn't a good way to start a relationship. It wouldn't be surprising if it crossed your mind that his intention is just to have sex with you. On the other hand, there are some unions that have weathered the test of time even if they started with lust.
Here are the tell-tale signs of a guy who's just in it for free sex:
When you tell him you love him, he doesn't respond at all
If he's really into you he would reply with some form of "I love you, too" instead of just going back to cuddling you. If you can't even here these three important words, then he's not worth your time.
When you talk on the phone, majority of your topics revolve around sex
If you've noticed that he can't talk about anything else except your bedroom encounters, then start worrying. You should be able to engage in topics such as his or your interests and many other subjects other than sex.
When he asks you for sex and you say no, his mood suddenly changes
A good man should be able to take a refusal every now and then. After you've told him there will be no sex today, he should stop asking for it over and over. If he remains adamant and gets mad at you, then he's definitely not someone that you should have for keeps.
He hangs out with you only in a place where both of you can have sex
You should be able to go out in a world where the two of you can engage in activities and socialization. You should steer clear of motels if you want to find out if he's more than just a sex partner.
If you're alone in the house, he goes there and asks for sex
At times when you're alone in the house, he comes to you without any intent of having a good conversation. If he gets down to kissing or hugging you directly without even bothering to ask how your day went, then it only means that he's just there to have his fix for the day.
He touches you inappropriately even when you're in public
When you're with his friends he should introduce you as his girlfriend. You should be able to feel some amount of respect from them. If you don't, then maybe that has something to do with your man. Your man should stop touching you naughtily in front of other people. There's always a proper venue for sex and the streets aren't one of them!
You have caught him cheating with another woman
If you find out that he does the same thing with other girls, then it's time to wake up and accept that he's just in it for free sex - nothing more.

Bad Habits You Should Tell Your Partner Before You Get Married
So you are getting married. Wonderful. Love may be blind but marriage sure will reveal its lucidity.
A habit is defined as a recurrent, often unconscious pattern of behavior that is acquired through frequent repetition.
Let me say that once more, frequent repetition.
If you have issues, discuss them. Just because one or the other rolls their eyes does not constitute means for silence. Talk. Even when you hate each other, talk.
Some habits are minor, as annoying or gross as they may seem. For instance, nail biting, and nose picking is just gross. Knuckle cracking is annoying and bad for you, but they are still deemed more of a minor significance.
So what are some of the bad boys and if you are the one with the bad habit here are some tips.
1. Saying "yes" all the time is a bad habit. This is something you will need to learn and this is more particular of women than men. However there are men people pleasers as well.
If you don't have the guts to say no to someone you can always say, "Let me think about it and I will tell you later." You can also commit to a lesser commitment than was asked of you.
2. Holding Grudges. Feelings of resentment benefit no one. You must let go and let god so to speak. If your partner keeps a chip on their shoulder it will only widen the communication gap.
3. If you are hiding a smoking, binge drinking, drug addiction habit platter of issues, get help. Don't get married, have babies and try to hide this from your partner. Get real with yourself and make the change.
4. Borrowing money If you have a habit of borrowing money from people this is something that your partner should know. If you are in serious debt and have a habit of careless spending.
5. Procrastination as a side note, I will say that procrastination is ridiculous. It takes action before motivation. Just do it. Once you start something it is not that bad and you know it. So get to action. Work first, play later and you will reap the sweet rewards.
6. Overeating this is another big bad habit. Are you okay? Let's get serious about getting your weight under control. If you have unresolved issues then get help. What is stopping you? You and I both know that your body was not designed to be overweight. It's unnatural.
7. Gambling I once met a man who was resentful even as an adult that his mother had gambled all their money and lost the house. I think that is enough said.
8. Compulsive shopping. Try to be honest with each other. If you want more money and want to shop more then get another job. Don't rob the family of any quality of life for your own addictions. It's just not right.
9. Pornography and other sexual addictions. It's your choice do you want to make love to your partner or a fantasy? Whatever your choice may be it is not fair to one person to be ignored and harbor thoughts of insecurity and humility on account of your own pleasure. This is a discussion waiting to happen if person is struggling with this.
Now if your partner needs a little help here are some tips for you.
1. Do not "nag" them. Nagging someone makes them automatically defensive. Your partner will feel personally attacked.
2. Share your feelings, but stick to the initial issue. Don't sidetrack about what happened 'last week"
3. Set a good example yourself. Sometimes being a good example will have a greater affect than all the words in the world.
4. Avoid using "you messages". You messages put people down. Saying "You never show up on time." Or "You always do this, or that" When you talk to others in this manner, it shuts down communication.
5. Instead, Say something like, "I feel anxious when you are late, because I worry that you are abandoning me or that you are hurt somewhere." Fill in the blanks for different situations. You will get a much better response than saying, "You are always late."
6. Assert yourself and then keep quite. Listen to the other person. Be a support, not an enemy. Repeating yourself over and over will lead to insanity. Let it go. If you can't live with it, then go. But the issue needs to go somewhere. It won't just go away.
7. Avoid codependency.

Let him confide in you the problems he cannot say to others that are close to him. You should give him sound advice so he knows that he can rely on you and always take his issues seriously.
Unconditional Love
When you love someone unconditionally the efforts taken are not requited meaning you do not expect anything in return. That is why I learned how to do things for my boyfriend without expecting anything in return. I learned this because when you want to start a family, love should come down from the parents first to make your family safe place for everyone belonging in it.

Is He Really Into You? 4 Tell Tale Signs So You Will Know For Sure
These days and times the rules of dating have changed, they have changed heaps. There are now hundreds of new ways to date someone. But deep down we all still love some of the old ways, like going out somewhere together and spending actual time together. Sharing things together. You know what I mean Quality time together.
4 Tell tale signs that he is really into you are:
1. When he is really into you he will show it by spending quality time with you. Now I don't mean in bed having sex or making love, I mean really good quality time with you wanting to get to know you, and be mystified by you. Deep down I think you really know the truth about the type of quality time that you deserve and should have. If the guy you are with is not doing this and not giving you the time you really should have I would start having a think about what to do in this area!
2. When he is really into you he wont care about when or where he displays his affection for you. I am not talking about the bedroom side of things I mean a public display of affection. I mean like walking down the street does he hold your hand?or while walking does he place his arm protectively around you, or does he hug and kiss you romantically like it would be his last?
3. When he is really into you, how often does he make eye contact with you, I mean does his eyes smile at you, do they look at you with his heart or with his mind? Does he look at you in a way that would make you melt?
4. When he is really into you it's the little things that count, he will be willing to do these for you without asking questions, does he help tidy up around the house, does he put the trash outside, does he do many random acts of thoughtfulness and kindness that will make you take more notice of him, does he get you presents or flowers even.
If you discover that this is not the case I would be looking at ways to rectifying this problem. When it all boils down to it we all need love in the right way otherwise we feel like we have become insignificant in this big world. If he is not treating you with the love and respect that you wish for then its about time that you spend your precious time with the one that knows he is really into you.

How to Attract Women - Why Women Reject Some Guys and Not Others
I am sure that you have seen some situations where a woman will reject a guy and it does not seem to make any sense at all, and then that same woman will fall for a guy that seems to be way down on the totem pole when compared to her. We have all seen this before and it can make you kind of scratch your head and wonder, WHY?
Why is it that some guys get rejected and others do not, yet they really don't appear to be much different at all?
Well, to put it simply, one guy knows how to attract women and the other doesn't. If you feel that you are the kind of guy that usually ends up getting the shaft when it comes to dating and attracting women, you might be wondering what you are doing wrong and what you can improve on to attract women and get over the sting of rejection.
Here are some tips on how to attract women and why some guys get rejected by women and others don't:
1. Women are attracted to men that feel good about themselves.
You can almost always spot a guy that seems to feel good about himself no matter where he is and what they situation is. You have to get that inner game in check if you want to have women become easily attracted to you. And as an added bonus, it helps to easily make the rest of your life seem better as well.
2. Women are attracted to men that make THEM feel good about themselves.
However, you have to make a clear distinction between making a woman feel good about herself and just straight up sucking up to her. Sucking up to a woman seems shallow and empty and has little effect on her after a while. But, when you only hand out compliments to a woman when she deserves them, they have more meaning. And they make her feel REALLY good.
3. Women REJECT men that do not know how to play the game.
Yes, there is a game or a song and dance that kind of goes along with dating and attraction. If you do not know how to play the game right, then you are not going to walk away a winner and with the girl that you want. Sometimes experience is more than enough to be able to know exactly what to say and do, and other times, leveraging the experience of others can help you make much quicker progress
